César Arminio (2think design studio), creator and lead game designer of Pato Box, the acclaimed indie title praised by Goichi Suda (Suda51) in 2018, has teamed up with Ogre Pixel, the Mexican indie studio behind Lonesome Village and A Tiny Sticker Tale, to bring Glory Hunters to Steam and Nintendo Switch.
Originally released for the Game Boy in 2024, Glory Hunters has remained one of the top-selling new Game Boy titles on itch.io. It also ranks as the #3 most-funded new Game Boy game worldwide on Kickstarter and among the top 5 Mexican video game Kickstarter campaigns of all time.
This new release not only delivers the full adventure, crafted to capture the nostalgic charm of retro handheld gaming, but also includes a wealth of exclusive content such as design sketches, a live performance soundtrack, an art book, and a markable world map to record your quest for glory.
Glory Hunters is an all-new action-adventure RPG using retro handheld graphics with a unique and original twist: you progress through the game by obtaining achievements.
By earning achievements you will unlock the game´s main currency called glory points, which are mainly used to open paths and move forward in this world.
Gather materials, aid the townsfolk in various quests, defeat bosses without getting a single hit from them, or dive into dungeons and caves to defeat different kinds of mobs to earn glory points. The choice is yours.
Create your own path and discover different zones with unique mini-games, enemies, and eccentric characters.
Take control on which achievement you will be hunting next, and build up your character for your next objective. Upgrade your health, buy more items, and even hire people to help you on this quest. You are free to spend glory points to create your very own experience!
Be careful on how to spend them, though; the next achievement might become harder to get.

Knights and warriors around the world make journeys from their homeland to the ancient gods' vessels, seeking their blessing for aid in an hour of need. These courageous heroes are called Glory Hunters.

Discover and hunt various achievements. You can be a pacifist and focus on gathering, puzzle-solving and questing or choose the fighter way, by traversing caves and dungeons to defeat the evil that lurks within their walls. You will find that almost every action can grant you glory!
Ventue into an open world full of possibilities and meet many characters across the land! You choose where to go and which one of the four gods you want to awaken.
